cam install
installing blower cam, what is the best oil pump and timing chain to go with while i am in there. thanks jim.

Katech has a blueprinted and ported LS6 oil pump. I would also go with the Katech timing chain if you are not degreeing the cam, Cloyes if you are.

I went with a GM LS4 oil pump which is a high volume pump and a LS2 chain which was noticably beefier than the LS6 chain I took out.

same here. If you do go with the LS2 timing chain, you may have to clearance the timing cover a little. Also when putting on a LS2 timing chain, there is a wrong way to put the spacers on. Make sure they properly line up with the oil pump or you'll be tearing back into it to fix your oil pressure issue.

^ Spacers? I had no issues with anything like that. Mine all bolted right up w/o needing to shim or clearance anything.

You can use the C5-R chain with the Cloyes gears if you want.
