Default TPMS receiver location?

I have a new style (01-04) TPMS receiver ready to install - I've isolated the pins needed to connect to my older harness according to a thread I saw on here and it's ready to go, except - where is it?

From searching on here, it seems to be on the driver's side, but I don't know what panels to take off. Only thing I've found so far is a silver Antenna Receiver Module on the b-pillar.

I see a "hump" on one of the cargo trim panels but can't figure out how to remove the panel without breaking it (or if that's even what I'm looking for).

anyone care to explain what #2 and #3 is?

It looks like #2 is the receiver, but what's #3?

And,
what did you need to do the swap?

I have a '98 and am waiting for an '01 receiver to arrive-
is there anything else I may need other than the receiver??

TIA,
Tommy

I'd have to agree that #2 is the receiver module.

#3 is probably the receiving antenna for the module.

Actually #3 is the receiver module I was asking about. It has a plastic rod going through the module with foam disks at either end of the rod. I think it's to hold it in place - it's literally under a plastic panel held on by double-sided tape, but I didn't look at it that closely.

#2 is something else - maybe a crash sensor/module?

May I ask what this complete conversion cost? (2 fobs, receiver, 4 tire sensors)

Did you use all new parts? Source of parts?

I am still using the original TPMS on my 2000 and plan doing the conversion; most likely this summer.

I can't seem to locate the receiver in my 98 convertible. Will someone direct me to the correct location?

Edited post to say that I found it!

That "plastic rod" is the antenna. Two of them actually. Each pointing in a different direction. The little foam disks are there to prevent the two antennas from wiggling/vibrating against the body panel and making any noise.
