Just installed the tick today and what a PITA. Trying to adjust it when i go to far the one way slips bad, think i have it ok now but the clutch lets out all the way at the top.Not sure if thats right but it is ok for bangin the gears cuz i don't have to push clutch in far. Any info on adjusting would be great. Also ran it a couple times and my clutch never stuck to the floor,so thats great. Thanks for the help guys.

Back off the adjustment or you will damage your pressure plate by over compressing it.

Well my verdict is in on the Tick (Tilton) master. I can now shift at 6850-6900rpm with the greatest of ease (Ram twin-disk). I no longer get blocked due to inadequate pressure plate disengagement. Well worth the money in my opinion.

How was the install? Mind helping a fellow texan with one in the near future?

I like the tick as well BUT....as mentioned earlier, the hardest part is adjusting it and knowing what is ideal. I have it engaging close to the floor but after 3 weeks I still haven't installed that lower access panel under the dash

Don't feel bad I broke my close-out panel during the removal.

The install was not too bad. Getting the clutch pedal bracket with the Tick master cylinder attached back into position was an interesting situation (I am claustrophobic). After that getting the nuts back onto the studs was a blast (extreme sarcasm). I could walk you through it no problem. I am just being a wuss as it was really pretty simple.

When i adjust mine to far in the pedal gets sloppy and when i rev it up to hit the next gear it just slips,if i shift normal it's ok so i'm not sure how i need to adjust it yet. Any tips would be great. Thanks KCvetteowner for the install help very detailed instructions and pics. Mine seems to only work when the pedal grabs at the top of travel but i'm worried about breakin pressure plate but as i said earlier when i adjust it in it slips but i have a stock clutch if that matters. Thanks

That doesn't sound good, how old is your stock clutch?

I have 30000 miles on it. Thats it. Like i said when i make it grab lower it slips and its sloppy at the top but where i have it now it grabs at the top but shifts fine. Do you think i'm doing something wrong? My pedal doesn't stick to the floor anymore at high rpm shifting like it use to.

If the car shifts well at the current position, then just drive it like that and enjoy it. You know your car and can get feedback better than anybody on this forum.

I just put the clutch spring back in , i know it doesn't say to reinstall it but i figured i'd see what it would do. It made the clutch so much easier and i'm not sure if i like it like that anymore. It did take care of the sticky clutch problem and i also wrapped the slave hose with extra heat tape cuz it's so close to the headers.

I just bought this to go along with my Spec V and also replaced the slave. The old slave that was in there was actually sticking instead of moving easily up and down on the spring shaft like the new one. Could be your culprit.

The Tick MC replacement of the OEM MC definitely eliminated my RPS Street Twin engagement/disengagement problem.

We've installed and sold a ton of these things for use on cars with stock clutches with great results.
