Purchased new LS2 timing sprockets. For the "dot to dot" alignment there is no mark on the crankshaft sprocket. Is the keyway to be aligned at 12:00?
The camshaft sprocket has what appears to be an alignment mark on the face at the perimeter, so no problem there.
Please no bashing due to not degreeing the cam!
No, keyway should be at approximately 2 o'clock when the cam dot is at 6 o'clock. With a degree kit, and no alignment marks, not sure how you are going to ensure correct installation.

Just a note, that is the LS1 timing set although the LS2 can be used in place of the LS1 so the key must be in the same position. One thing you could do if you have the original cam gear is put your own mark on the tooth that is in the same position in the new one.
The first time I installed mine and lined them up (its very difficult to see them straight on to make sure there pefectly aligned) I had it ONE tooth off!!! I used a digital camera to examine it.
Realigned the gear and was good to go. The camera saved my butt!!!
