can you use a stock Ls7 cam in an Ls1 ??,, a guy here in my town has a great price on an ls7 cam,, and he tells me it will fit right in my ls1,, is this correct,,, thanks a bunch guys.

With an LSA of 121, you are going to need to rev past the comfort zone of the rod bolts. If it fits, I think it is a poor choice. I checked GMPP, there is no specific information on fitment to other blocks.

It will physically fit in the block but I believe you have to change the cam gear. The question is WHY? The valve events are entirely wrong for cathedral port heads whether they be 5.3, LS1 or LS6. It would turn your car into a real POS. Don't do it!
