I have been having and issue with a dead battery for awhile. If I don't drive the car for more than two days, it goes dead. I replaced the battery and alternator, and I know it's charging.
I know something is putting a draw on the battery. Now when I disconnect the battery terminal and then reconnect it..I hear a pretty loud click somewhere in the headlight area on the same side that the battery is on (Passenger Side).
Is this normal for our cars, or is that the area I need to focus on while trying to trace this down?
Do you have accessories wired in constant 12v/or ignition switched...sometimes when people think they've wired an accessory to an ignition switched power source (such as tapping into a fuse) they've actually tapped into a constant such a the cigarette lighter and causing a constant draw...just a thought.

Normal? Yes. You say LOUD, how loud, we can't tell. If you think that could be the problem, unplug the connectors on the Headlamp Control Module.
8VETTE7 has pointed out some good reading on the subject!

Unless you do a current draw test, your not going to know if you have an issue with the Car or battery. Your looking for a maximum of .02 amps or 2 Milliamps.
Post your results and we can help you figure out what the issue is. Make sure that you wait for the BCM to time out to the security mode to record the reading.
YES! The arc that you get from the battery terminal when you connect it to the battery terminal and the noise from the head light motors is completely normal.

Thanks. I see the tread is 30+ pages long, and I started looking through it to find the test method mentioned in a prior post, but haven't found it yet.
I'm off to church, but will be able to look more later.
