Default FAST 90 intake question

Does the FAST 90 intake use the stock hardware to mount it to the heads or does it need specific bolts?

You can use the supplied FAST hardware or the STOCK hardware. It was recommended to me to use the STOCK hardware for a number of reasons:

- It will not rust

- The washers that are supplied with the fast hardware can fall off and drop down the intake ports.

- The stock hardware works well,,use it.

Is there any aftermarket hardware for the FAST. Mine is rusting and the stock hardware is long gone. I saw some SS hardware at ThunderRacing, but was wondering if there were any other options available.

I would just get the GM bolts from a vendor. Stainless and aluminum in contact can be an issue depending on the alloys. The stock bolts work great and are easier to work with.

Make sure you swap to low profile valley bolts or you will crack the manifold.

FAST tech support said the OE Hardware does not work with their intake.

Maybe not the valley bolts, but the intake bolts do unless they made some major change.

use flat head valley plate bolts and even grind it some more, i recently cracked using stock valley bolts, its a very very expensive el cheapo plastic piece, very easy prone to break than stock intake.

I had a 92mm FAST intake and it came with all stainless hardware. I would call FAST and order the new stainless hardware kit that comes in the 92mm version.
