Factory brake question
Hey Guys,
I was curious as to which brakes come stock on the 02 C5. Im pretty sure that they come stock drilled. I have the regular rotors currently.
Do vettes come stock with drilled rotors?

I don't think any C5s came stock with drilled rotors.
C6 did.

I don't know about C6's but for the C5 drilled rotors were not available from the factory, standard or as an option.

C5s did not come with the bogus Drilled and Slotted.
the C6Z and C6Z51 comes with ( for marketing purposes only ) Drilled and Slotted.
For any serieus braking you want solid side or small slot / j-hook slots
not Drilled, Milled or cast in holes of any kind.

I have a 2000 C5 with drilled and slotted rotors all the way around. Does this mean I have non-GM rotors? The car also has red calipers that say Corvette and replica ZO6 wheels. I guess I just figured this is the way they came. The brakes will just about throw you through the windshield in a panic stop.

Your fine with the brakes.
The D&S rotors are not GM but an after market. The Red Calipers where painted or powder coated.

interesting...
I could have sworn they did. I see so many and all have drilled rotors.
That answers that.
Thank you gentlemen for your input.
