1 7/8s on a 346 ci ?

Leaving a LOT of low end torque with 1 7/8s would you not?

IMHO stick with 1 3/4 headers

See my sig. Heads milled to 61cc and last dyno with clutch slipping/burning was 483RWHP, and that was before the EWP, and really perfect tuning. I agree with GoldenEagle-stick with 1.75" headers, and I prefer the true LTs like LG.

Not true. People have done back to back test and the 1 7/8 actually out performed it down low and up high.

Have any graphs of your back-to-back testing? That would be the easiest way to prove your point.

Or are you just echoing what the marketing machine fed you?

Did Seth advise you on what your actual p/v clearance might be with that cam and those milled heads?

Yes ask him about that

with the .59 mil the .612 may be too much lift.

Your original cam will clear

Shouldn't be necessary. It's always recommended to check though. Keep in mind that the Trickflow's have a 13.5* valve angle.

WOW! Great looking list! You will get alot of gas stink with that cam at idle, even with cats, just so you know. Looks like you really cut loose the wallet.

And you should keep in mind the TFS heads only offer .005" more free valve drop compared to a stock LS1 head.

Revised valve angle helped, but the larger valve diameter took it right back.

Now whack .030" off the deck to get to 59cc, and see what happens.

I'm not saying it's a recipe for disaster, but it is definitely close enough to warrant checking. If I were recommending and selling such a package, I would have already done it and have some real measured data to offer.

Or, maybe I'm just confused why I recently helped a guy flycut his 61cc TFS setup with a 232/236-113 cam because he only had .040" p/v clearance. Everyone here told him it would clear easily....until install time.

Peak lift has NOTHING to do with p/v clearance.

Peak lift occurs when the piston is several inches down in the cylinder.

p/v clearance problems occur very near piston TDC, as the valves are just opening or closing.

So I am good with this setup or I should be concerned?!? LoL I do not want to get heads I can't use

I wasn't even taking gas mileage into consideration with this setup

How much mpg city / highway with this setup will I get?

Thanks for the input everyone! When I usually do something I usually go ***** to the wall

Your setup looks like a wet dream H/C deal. I increased my mileage 2 MPG to 27 highway, AFTER my mods. The problem is in town, it's so much fun to get on it just a little bit more, the mileage really suffers.

Not going to matter. Once your get this installed and tuned, your right foot will be on the floor. So I would say 5-6 ,mpg
