Not true. People have done back to back test and the 1 7/8 actually out performed it down low and up high.
Did anyone come up with the link with this back to back test results?
On this list of mods.....it will be interesting to here the results..I might what to copy it...if that's allowed.
Oh, one more thing, if you are paying a premium for the LS7 lifters over NEW from GM stock LS1 or LS2 lifters, buy the LS1's. They're all the same lifter now, no difference.
Not sure in the clearance issues. You would probably want to check PVC regardless. If you need more room just flycut the pistons.
My H/C would average 23-24MPH(6 speed w/ 4.10s) Would get as high as 27 on the highway.
Wow that's actually better then what I average now on a stock motor. My average is around 18-19mpg but I think that either the MAF needs cleaned or the filter does or just a good tune up needs performed (which I will do when I install the H/C setup )
Do you need to remove the pistons to have them flycut or can someone come out and do it while they are in the block? And does this make them "weaker"?

No you don't have to remove the pistons. They can be cut in the block. Yes they make them weaker. Just don't take out to much material and on a H/C car it wouldn't be a problem.
I have another question. If the heads are milled and lower cc then the stock heads will the fast intake manifold align to the heads without any problem? My neighbor said something about it may not line up because the heads would be closer to the block.
