If you are going to use the Ranger method for clutch fluid exchange, one 12 oz bottle should be way more than enough. I exchanged both brake and clutch fluids last week and used a little less than two 1/2 liter bottles.
Your saying 24 oz. is a enough for a couple of flushes. thanks
After reading this thread, and Ranger's how to, I did the same on my 04 with 7700 miles on the clock. After 4 flushes, I am clean. Before the change it looked nasty. I used Prestone Dot 4 since Ranger recommended it and I understand GM now recommends for all vettes. Very easy to do.
Have not driven it due to weather, however after changing the fluid last night, I have developed an clutch squeak while pumping the clutch in the garage. Do you think this is something I need to worry about? Will it eventually go away after it is driven or do I need to go to the stealership and pay $16 for thier clutch fluid.? Its a 2004.

What fluid did you use? And how many times did you change the fluid?

Don't buy the clutch fluid at the dealership.. I use Valvoline Synthetic High Performance Brake Fluid "exceeds DOT3/DOT4" 500 degree dry boiling point. 32oz bottle is about $7.
I changed it 4 times using Prestone Dot 4 until it was clear. I worked the pedal 30-40 times between each change. Was told this will go away by a friend who had a similar problem.

Interesting. I tested that same Valvoline fluid in my 01 Z06 clutch for a brief time. It leeched to black immediately. Seemed to react badly with the seals in the hydraulics. Only fluid I've tried that did that.
After a lot of testing, I settled on GM-brand Super DOT4 and Prestone DOT4. They have very similar performance. The Prestone is about 80% cheaper and is widely available including at Walmart.

Sorry. Reread your OP. Prestone DOT4 is proven in many C5 and C6 clutches. Shouldn't be squeaking. Suspect it will abate once abundant fresh fluid is put through it together with interspersed driving to help scour out the crud.
In the meantime, I've found it useful to visit the driver's footwell and ensure the clutch pedal springs and master cylinder rod connector (at the clutch pedal) are lubricated well with WD40 or a silicone spray.
