I have a 2001 coupe I need new tires in the front they are worn on the inside badly. The run flats that are on there are expensive. I need some advise on what kind of tires to get,I have heard that regular tires are better riding than run flats, and are cheeper, but what do you do about a spare? I will also need an alingment. any advise about this would be appreciated. BOB R
Many carry tire inflator/sealant (may ruin TPMSs and may not go past them into tire), air compressors, plug kit, pliers (to remove nails), jack (must go down to about 2 inches), lug wrench, and plastic shower curtain (to lay on). A cell phone and a towing plan (flatbedding, which can damage a C5 with a flat) are backups.
I run runflats myself.
Wearing down the inside of the front tires is normal if you do a lot of highway (straight) driving due to the agressive alignment specs.

Non-runflats provide a superior ride compared to the OEM runflats and because non-runflats weigh 6 lbs each less, they respond faster to road irregularities. Many of us have switched and will not be going back to runflats.
I just put new "shoes" on my vette - Sumitomo's with the great tread design! I used tirerack - their prices were the best and they delivered them to a tire guy near me. I think I paid close to $500 total.....these tires are the bomb! Us gurls like our shoes....especially with hot looking tread
