Where to get cam installed?
I would like to put a bigger cam in a stock 97. Im very mechanically inclined but have never done any internal engine mods. Im wondering if there is any reputable place in southern Indiana or western Ky that could install a cam and tune. If I decide to install myself, how much time would I need to allow to complete the install?

Are you doing a cam kit? (cam, springs, push rods?) Or just the cam? I did my MS3 kit in a day. So if it just a cam it wouldnt take long at all. I would go with a double roller timing chain also. Wish I was closer I would help, but if you have any questions just shoot me a PM. Good luck

If you replace a cam,,,,,theres a whole host of things that you should consider as an upgrade. Heres a short list:
Aftermarket harmonic damper (Powerbond)
New HD push-rods
New Gold springs
Ti Valve spring retainers
Higher flow rate injectors (ford 30lb/hr)
LS6 Intake manifold if you do not a 2001+ C5 (2001+ already have it.)
Melling Oil Pump
LS2 Timing Chain
ARP Damper Bolt
BC
