I was under the impression that an exhaust does nothing for hp gains!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this true? After reading all of the Mid America exhausts it would seem that it does add rwhp! But again if you believe everything you read your a simpleton!
I am switching from a base 2002 A4 coupe exhaust to a Z06 Ti exhaust
and l have a Blackwing, 160 degree thermo and street tune by ECS.
Will this Ti exhaust do anything for the rwhp? Right now it went into ECS a lamb and came out Wolf !!!!!!!!!
It may sound a little better as well. Your car sounds like it will be fun to drive. Do you have the 3.15 gears or the 2.73?
Hi
I have the 3:15 gears and the Z51 package with 17,000 miles in pristine condition. not a mar on the exterior or interior. I just uncovered it from the winter hibernation on the battery charger.
I just picked up the Ti exhaust and even though it's clean it's not up to my standards.

Noticed you had a vert and l'm trying to trade mine for one but the verts that want to trade are not in the condition that would like. Your a little ahead of mine with all of your sweet mods.
All that l can say is that l have owned vettes since 1968 and just love them until they took the performance out of them 74-87 but really a little later.

Search the forum. There are plenty of threads on how to clean them up. I think I just used Mothers metal polish and 0000 steel wool. They look like new with a little elbow grease. The pipes are Ti too so they clean up nicely too.
any weight savings is a HP gain, no matter how small... most people think that when they buy a replacement part they are going from nothing to some sport of gain... but inreality, they are going from the original gains of the factory exhaust system, to any gains tweaked over the original exhaust.
It all depends upon what the engine can do. For example, let's say your car is bone stock or has a couple of minor bolt-ons. The gain from swapping out the exhaust system is minimal.
On the other hand, let's say you reworked your engine so that it now cranks out 600 HP (250 HP more than stock). Then yes, absolutely, you will gain quite a bit of HP by installing a less-restrictive exhaust system.
