I have 2000 c5 turbo car. The clutch and cylinders are new. A fluid leak developed after the pedal assembly. It looks like a braided line going from the pedal assembly into the trans. There is no room to see much. I would like to see a manual or a diagram of the system to understand it. Any one have any info on this? really appreciate it.
I agree it should not make any difference. We pressed the pedal numerous times and had very little leaking. When the car was running the leaking was significant. I had my hands all over the line. I had the clutch replaced along with the slave, master cylinder and had a remote bleeder installed. They did not touch this line. I have two options. If i bring it to them they will take at least a week to fix it and it will not be under warranty. Or I may bring it to my regular guy who did not do the clutch. Your diagram was great. thanks again
we just replaced my slave and master cylinder and added a remote bleeder, took it for a test drive at came back it was leaking. we took a peek up in there and found out the remote bleeder was leaking. we took it off and put the stock bleeder on and so far 500 miles later its fine.
It does not look like its coming from the remote bleeder but from a ruptured line which I hope to get at tomorrow. In terms of a heat shield I agree. Is there one you have used? recommend?

I'm not sure what you mean by "they did not touch this line"?
If the slave and master were both replaced,so were the lines, and then connected at the quik connect.
If a line is leaking that they didn't touch, then it's not the clutch line that's leaking.
Are you sure it's not a brake line leaking?-that would explain the higher pressure/bigger leak with the car running...

Its absolutely impossible not to touch the line when the clutch and cylinders are replaced.
I know what I was looking at but not sure exactly which line it is. Will have the car on a lift tomorrow and see more. I will let you guys know what I find. Thanks for the input.
