Default Radiator help

I need some feed back from those of you that have changed your water cooling radiators to a larger after market one and if you have noticed any big difference in cooling degrees , I am looking at these models BE COOL , DEWITT, also EcKLER'S has one and so does WEST COAST CORVETTE they all say they run about 20 to 40 percent cooler any input would be great. Thank you

Most everyone says Dewitts is the best. TPE has a sale on them right now: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-p...itts-sale.html

I changed mines out because one of the small hose barbs broke and I didn't want to just glue it back. It was just a good time to upgrade.

I like the quality of DeWitts and I have used Be Cool on other cars before. I have good experiences with both brands, but in all honesty I don't think you really need it unless you have a heavily modified car or you race. If you want the car to run cooler, change the setpoint where the fan comes on. The default setting is around 220 degrees.

I have the DeWitts. Very nice quality, good welding and perfect fit although you do need to trip a piece from the fan shroud (small piece).

Ron Davis all the way. In the summer in phoenix I would see 230deg with the stock radiator. With my ron davis I never saw above 180 even in stop and go traffic.

West Coast and Eckler's both sell our radiator. You could buy it from them or us direct. You will experience 20-40 % better cooling. The radiator is twice as thick as your stock radiator and it has full welded press formed aluminum tanks. No more plastic tanks.

http://www.dewitts.com/pages/product...asp?ProdID=320

We also sell this radiator as a direct fit with engine oil cooler built in.

Let me know what you think.

I have a Dewitts and it has reduced the operating temperatures compared to the stock radiator; below is a shot of both so you can see the difference.

Does the automatic version increase the cooling of the transmission also? I'd rather run an internal one than monkey with seperate one in series that chops up the lines.
