A simple way of saying this would of been did you follow the directions, the grease is for the body grounds only not electrical.
Right. If I would have asked you "did you follow the directions? ", then that would have been received as an insult too......
Just a few months ago, there was a forum member who followed Bill's ignition switch repair....but continued to have random...related issues. After months of beating his head against the wall, the forum member realized he used dielectric grease on the contacts of the ignition switch.....thinking it would facilitate a "better" contact...and of course...it did not.
My post sticks to the facts, and is not an insult (or personal) in any way, so I really don't get it.
Well, I'm not going to walk on eggshells...on an internet forum.....perhaps it's time for me to move on.
thanks Lucky for your help with this and other post I've had, no one should walk on eggshells when trying to help people. I have in my profession found that I need to think before i speak every single time and I sometimes forget I am placing that onto others. I should take things with a grain of salt.
anyways, i didnt mean to blast you for your help, it was late and i was frustrated with this and all the other things going on with the car.
Bill, did you get a chance to look at the response?
the other part of this is WHY,
would after a oil change would i start to hear piston slap. it is more in the cold but you can hear a slight slap all day. did not hear anything till i changed the oil.
if the fuel filter regulater was bad what effects will it have on start up?

What oil did you change it to and do you know what was in the crank case prior to the oil change? Some have gone to 10/40 and had good results and believe it or not some have used the German 0/30 and had good results. Try a quart of 10/40 next time its low and see if that makes a diffeence.
If it makes you feel any better, I get some piston slap on my wifes 06 Coupe when its dead cold.
I used 5w-30 mobile 1 with a full synthetic lucas oil, just did the oil change. it was showing 30% left but I bought in Aug 09 so I figured it was near 1 year.
I just put in the seafoam into the gas and crank with run it till its black, will try the amsoil 5w-30.
Just cant figure why it would start now, i wonder if the previous owner did a different oil or not mobil to cover up or not. paid attention today got quieter at 100 degrees.
still have the start up issue though, and the DTC codes
