do the heads have to be removed to install new lifters? and are c6 z06 lifters a good lifter for a cam swap in a c5z? and are they the same height as the stock ones so pushrod lengths wouldn't have to be changed? anything else recommended to change with lifters?

All depends on the cam and springs being used and rpms that it will run
Yes the heads nee to be removed. If you have an early C5, it is recommended that you also change the plastic lifter trays to the newer design.. If they have a 10 on the bottom of the tray, its the old version.

I agree. Why are you changing lifters?
just thought it would be a good idea? its a 01 z06 with around 2500 miles
I agree too!!! 2500 miles... wow, they are still brand new. I ran mine till 274K miles before at least one, possibly two started failing. I then replaced all of them, pushrods, springs, seals, rockers, all at the same time.
