Well after buying this Fiber Tuned Intake and finding out thats its not all that great. I decided to go ahead and take a chance. Here are some pics I took of the install. Im not finished yet, waiting on my fuel rails to come in, they should be here on Monday. Not sure how everything is going to turn out, but I will see. I had to plug a few holes and put some barb fittings in. I will keep y'all updated on what the horse power gains or loses are and how it drives. Heres some pics
I hope it does good, but got some mixed thoughts about whats its going to do. I going from a LS6 intake to this, so hopefully it will be positive. If it is I will keep it on, but if it takes a good bit of power away, i will use it as a paper weight. But if I only loose a few hp, I will still keep it on, cause I like the way it looks!
Well here is a update... Not the greatest of news but o'well, lesson learned. Well I got the fuel rails in yesterday and after installing them on the intake, They didnt fit with the install hardware it came with. I made some brackets and put them on. They came out really good. After getting the rails to fit and snug down I was putting in the intake and the fitting on the back was hitting. So, with out thinking I cut a hole. Well all I should of done was by a "T" fitting and plug the rear of the fuel rails off. But Im very anxious to get her going again. After cutting the hole, my best friend came over and helped me do the fiberglass work, im no body man. It came out really good and here are some pics. Still waiting on some things to come in. Hopefully in the next couple of days I can fire her up!!!!!!!!!!!
Heres the bracket I had to make
The HOLE!
Fiberglassed!
Painted!
Cant tell!
Coming along nicely. I hope it makes power for you.
