I'm about to install new GM PN#12533586 intake seals and I'm wondering if they come with the sleeve to cover the keeper grooves during installation. If not, anyone know where I can get these sleeves?
Never seen them for LS1, don't recall it in the service manual either but I would need to verify. I never had an issue by lubing the valve stem good and just going easy with the seal when it goes over the notch in the stem.

I stopped by an automotive machine shop and the guy there happened to have a couple extras and he gave me one. He says he doesn't use them these days as much as he used to. Like you said, if you oil the valve stem and gently slide the seal down past the valve stem grooves, they go on with no damage.
