i want to run a comp thumper cam in my 2001 corvette...auto matic...will the stock heads work or will I have piston to valve clearance problems from my other wise stock motor???
I am running stock 243 heads. My cam is 224/230 .585/.595 113. with no p/v clearance issues. My understanding is (real motor guys correct me if I am wrong ), any lift < .600 will not encounter p/v issues.
Total lift is not really relevant. What determines PTV is the duration and ramp rate. If the OP wants more responses, he should really post the cam specifications.

duration and ramp rate count! especially if the heads have been milled!
Should clear but I would still measure for two reasons. You will know how much clearance you have and if you ever decide to do something else (for example mill heads) you won't be guessing later.
