I posted this on the C6 intead of C5.
In my album I have a picture of something I found while looking under the hood.
It was laying on top of the right lower arm.
What is it? It look like it still has a vacum line still attached to it.
If you are thinking of the sway bar link,It's not.
I 've looked at the links and while they need replacing I don't think is it.
It has a hose attached to it.
It's what left of the connection to the front shocks.
This car has the RTD system F45 suspension on it however the front shocks have been replaced to stock shocks.
I bought this car recently and whom ever had it before me must had ripped them off the F45 shocks and just laid them out of the way. Both front are the same while the rear still have the F45 shock on. I'll be replacing all the shocks soon to Z06 type or something.
I suspect the car will be limited to 80mph in it' current configuration.
I'll have to buy the simulators as well.
I've been told there's a cheaper way to simulate it but,I haven't found that info here yet.
I'll bet that's it man..it looked like a magnet kind of to me. if you're car used to or still has the magnerhetorical suspension or the adjustable one...I'll bet if you had the shocks replaced that wire is no longer needed.
If you don't have codes I'd expect this even more.
Looks like some one removed the control valves from the F-45 shock and retained the coil assy so that the system is happy and doesn't throw DTCs. SO,, you have regular shocks and still retain the old control coil to make the RTD computer happy. Not a bad Idea.
If I were you, I would have the RTD system de-programmed out and get rid of all that crap. Your rear shocks are most likely SHOT!
