Default Wierd problem

I have a C5 that has an electrical gremlin. At times when the ignition key is turned to run, the dash will blink dimley, you can hear relays clicking and buzzing in the passenger foot well. The car will not start but the starter will click like the battery is going dead. At one time I thought it was a battery issue because the voltage was real low, since then I have a fresh battery installed and the indicated voltage is well above normal. All grounds were checked, I did find that that under the battery tray ground splice point was corroded real bad by acid that had leaked all over the wiring from a previous battery issue. I fixed that and made sure that the ground continuity was good to the block and to the batter negative cable connection at the battery post.

When the dash lights up normally everything is fine, the car starts and runs fine.

All fusible links were checked, I swapped out the PCM and the TAC just to eliminate them and those didn't take care of the issue either. I am suspecting the BCM as all the relays that I can hear making noise are all controlled by the BCM. Also I checked all the serial data connections and continuity to the star connectors in the passenger foot well, these to check OK.

Anyone out there have ever had a similar condition?? I hate electrical problems in these cars, they are a RPITA.

Have you checked the ignition switch? I have read about a few people having strange electrical issues that ended up being an ignition switch with intermittent contacts.

Haven't checked it thoroughly, but it appears OK. I will do that

Also get down under the car and take a good look at the solenoid battery connection. That is the electrical center of the car.

Checked all the obvious stuff like grounds at the block, battery connection at the starter, underhood fuse block, ground splice points, etc. After reviewing the threads about the ignition switch I am going to investigate that as well.
