Default Part # for balancer puller.

Anyone know the brand/part number for the 3 jaw puller that fits and works on the stock LS1 balancer?

Thanks!

Any 3 prong gear puller should work as long as it fits on the inside of the pulley

Thanks, but seeing as I dont have any 3 jaw pullers, nor do I have the car apart yet, it doesn't help me.

Ok, I'll give you the info you've asked for but you're not going to like it. The tool is from Kent-Moore and is part # J-41816. It sells for $118.00 !!!!

As was said before, a generic three jaw puller will work. You can get a set of three different size pullers from Harbor Freight for about $35.00.

We must of posted up at the same time. LOL hey for this guys info, not any 3 prong puller will work. I bought one that looks just like the kent moore puller tool, but the one that i bought, the arms were to big to go into the hole. Be careful what you buy. That kent moore puller works real good

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm of the opinion that the correct tool for the job is the way to go every time. I have access to a regular set of pullers but wanted to get the correct tool. Its not worth screwing around and potentially messing up the crank snout or threads to save a few bucks.

For those that are interested - The OTC 6667 puller is the correct tool for LS1 balancers.

Can be had for $50.

Rented this one from Autozone & returned the next day for FULL credit. $0

It was a little tricky, but worked.
