I just purchased a '00 corvette. The problem I'm having is that it backfires on deceleration. The previous owner told me this is normal due to the exhaust system that was installed on it. It consist of Kooks headers followed by 3" pipes that go back to the tips. Although I like the sound when I accelerate, the backfiring is driving me crazy. No pun intended. Is there a fix for this or do I live with it?
