I've cleaned all my grounds on my car, but still getting the dreaded Service ABS and Traction SYS lights. Is it true that wheel sensors can also make the system go nuts?
Thanks for the reply, I'm getting c1217 HC. And when I atempt to clear it the lights just come back on. I checked the grounds and cleaned them with sand paper and covered them in dielectric grease. But still no luck
BPMV Pump Motor Relay is OPEN. Thats INSIDE the EBTCM.
Check fuses first. I think that there are THREE EBTCM fuses. On top of the fuses are TWO small openings. There TEST Slots. Turn the ignition ON and read the test slots to GROUND. There should be BATTERY VOLTAGE in each test slot. If the voltage is LOWER than battery voltage, report that here>
I have no idea what year car you have other than the 00 in you avitar. If you have a 2000, the EBTCM is no longer sold by GM.
There are places that rebuild them but there expensive. You can look for a used one.
Before you get too far on the replacement path, disconnect the main connector and inspect the wires and connector for corossion/moisture or damaged pins. Reinstall and see if it is still an issue. Last resort,,, give the module a whack with a mallet and see if the relay contacts can reseat them selves. Ive see that work a couple times.
