Hello fellow corvette owners, does anyone out there know where I could find a Body control module for my 1999 corvette conv? my trunk release circuit does not work.
I am also looking for a used front bumper cover, I want to modify and build a mold for a different looking one.
Please help
thanks,
Randy
No, not normally. The title should draw attention of the reader what you're trying to accomplish.
You can click on "edit", then "go advanced" and I think you should be able to edit your title. Actually, this might be better posted in the classifieds section.

Changing the BCM because the trunk release doesn't work sounds a tad dramatic. Is that the only reason you need a BCM?
Dumb questions but
Have you checked the fuse (26 in the footwell)?
Are the connections tight behind the switch?
Is the latch release adjusted correctly?
Does the latch release operate when you hit the button?
Changing a BCM can cause quite a few knock on issues and isn't for the faint hearted

HOLY CRAP! That was my thought exactly! You do know that you will have to do a BCM relearn to enable the BCM to communicate with the PCM and then have the RPO codes that go with your car programmed back into the new BCM with a TECH 2..
As Bill was saying, if you replace the BCM, the car will NOT start up until you do the relearn procedure, then you'll need the Tech2. Look at the simple things first before going that route.
Thanks everyone for your help, I checked all wires and switches, in fact I now have a switch wired in parallel with the BCM module out put and the trunk release works that way, I was just hoping to be able to use the Key fob again. I also do realize that you would have to do the relearn. I thought if I could get a BCM cheap enough I could take to GM dealer to do the relearn.
thanks
Again thanks for all of your help, I did check all the fuses and relays in the fuse block in the foot well, in fact I think that is what caused the problem in the first place. Last year my air conditioner filled up with water and leaked all over the BCM before I could get a chance to unplug the drain. I went to the web and got a manual for the car and proceded to check the wires and switches per the manual, that is how I determined that that was the problem. Of course now the car is all covered up waiting for some nice weather probably around April or May.
But I will definately take all of your advice and re-check items mentioned.
thanks
