Default Head question

I would like to upgrade my heads, but I don't want to do a cam. I have a 98 coupe and it is pretty much stock by way of internals what would be a good choice if keeping stock stuff and what might I gain?

Thanks guys.

I can't really tell from your post, what you hope to achieve. Do you want to retain certain stock parts, and replace others? You mention changing heads, and retaining your stock cam. This is not a very good idea. What are your current mods, if any, and what do you want out of your motor?

I agree. Leave your engine stock for now.

doing heads is a great way to gain power, but also cam, timing chain, under drive pulley, intake and tb, then LTs and exhaust.

By the time you add all this up, it is almost the cost of a LS2 crate motor plus installation.

Good Luck on your project

Yep..as the others have stated. You would be better off with an aftermarket cam, and stock heads........than aftermarket heads.....and a stock cam.
