I had a 98 MN6 Base Coupe that I purchased in late 97. In 02 I purchased an 02 ZO6. I liked the sound of the ZO6 and wanted to improve the 98. I purchased a set of 02 Ti take offs for $400.

I installed them on the 98. As soon as I cranked up the 98, I could tell the mufflers sounded better but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, NOTHING like the ZO6. It had a deeper sound but it wasn't much louder. After a spirited drive, I could tell the WOT difference. It was louder and did sound better. So,, there is a difference but it nothing to write home about...

I will have to say, there 24 pounds lighter, look 200% better and wont rust or corrode and are a direct OEM fit for a non ZO6!!

Over all, I was a LOT happier and it was well worth the $400..

The lighter weight is the true advantage of the Ti's,though I suspect that also is something you will never notice in every day driving.
