Your being sarcastic right ?

Lift is one of the most important factors for RELIABILITY not necessarily HP. We see so many high lift cam engines go boom because of the wrong choice of cam and springs.

Cams with lift higher then the heads flow is useless. Match the cam to the flow of the heads for best results.

the cost to take off and port yyour 241 heads are about the cost of good 243 ported heads.

I ported my 241 heads and they did almost nothing. So I bought 243 heads then cleanied them inside.

Yes, you definitely could. Pull the valves, clean the bowls, raise the roof, but don't lower the floor. You stated that you have ported heads before, so this should be a non issue, just clean them, don't port them. You will be just fine.

If you were asking about purchasing heads, I would say buy 243's as stated, but you are asking if ported 241's will run better, and yes they will. Good luck. Steve

since your dong your own porting go for it. Be careful in some places the 241s aluminum is not very thick and easy to punch out the side
