ARE C5 9.25@155MPH

With how hard Wade came off the line and ran the first half the track on the last run, I know he was going to SMOKE that 9.25 run. Oh well, thats racing, and I am very confident you guys will come back even stronger next time and break into the 8s!!
It was a great day at the track... Lotsa fast LS1 and LT1s!
I am very pleased with my 11.68 @ 122mph w/ 1.908 60' for my first day out at the track. I know with a better launch, some 11.4s are within my reach.
First pass: 9.7@154, 1.88 60'
Second pass: 9.25@155, 1.48 60'
The LPE cars are real street cars. They still have the A/C, the power steering, the heater lines, power brakes, the ABS, etc. They will run on pump gas (this is a major point), idle nicely, and run cool. You can actually your SO out to dinner in the car if you drink too much toss them the keys and let them drive you home. If you live in Atalanta you can drive it to Bowling Green in the summer heat with the A/C running on pump gas -- and then drive it home.
But you can take it to the track, put some high octane gas in the tank, strap on the slicks and run low 9's -- take the slicks off and drive home.
Anyone can build a fast race car. Just spend some time at the track. The trick is to build a fast street car that still has street manners. Everyone needs to stay focused on the fact that the streetabilty/durability of the car is as much of the issue as the numbers run -- at least for those who plan to drive these things. As a group of end users we need to push the tuners to undertand that the streetablity/durability is as important as the 1/4 number produced.

I am not sure what fbody you are referring to that is a race car, but it is not fair to say all of ARE's cars are stripped down race cars. I think you would be very suprised if you seen just how stock looking this C5 was when you removed the race rims/tires.

LPE does some great stuff, ARE does some great stuff, and a number of other tuners produce some great cars. What's interesting is how well most of these tuners get along, respect each other, and even help each other out.
