Default Head/Cam Advice Needed!

Hey guys,
Looking for a little advice/knowledge on common head upgrades. i recently purchased a 99 frc ls1 with a built bottom end, nitrous cam, and ported stock heads, fast 92 intake/tb, etc..

The car runs very conservative on motor since its built for nitrous. Anyway, im looking to get away from being reliant on spray and making it a bit stronger solely on motor. What suggestions would you make for a head/cam selection?

Thanks for your input, I'm learning slowly but surely, but motor builds have never been my cup of tea.

I currently have AFR 205 heads and a Blower cam so I can put either boost and/or nitrous to it in the future. I had also complimented it with a 102/102 combo. But, I might suggest the same heads and maybe a LG GX3 cam if you didnt want the nitrous. I'm sure it'll all come down to what you want to do with the car.

A few questions for you...what compression ratio are you currently running, cam specs, who ported the heads, what exhaust and what CAI? Assuming it's tuned for the spray, any N/A dyno numbers?

I would deffinetely go with a package. Trickflow of course. They sell matched packages these days that run better than the sum of their parts.

i dnt kno wht compression u have but as far as i kno nitrous likes high compresion ... assuming u have high compresion.... soo to recomend sum good stuff ....

go with trickflow 215 cc heads ... lg5 x3 cam .. and the 102 / 102 combo you should be good ... nothing against afr 205 cc .. but have just seen better results with the trickflows 215cc than the afrs 205cc... but both good sets of heads.. id bring tht compression to a 11.0 if u wnt all motor id recomend.. even then u can add a small 100 shot plate kit to tht compression and nothing should go wrong .. just retard the ignition timing a bit .. or use a MSD module tht automatically backs up timing at the use of nitrous but a 100 shot would not damage anything if the module fails for some reason now a big shot would...
