Theres a DIMMER **** on the left side of the IPC.. What is it set on?????
Just MAKE sure that you dont turn it all the way UP or the dash lights will stay on and run the battery down over time!
The HVAC Module has a KNOWN issue there the lighting resistors on the interior circuit boards pop loose. Just resoldering the SURFACE MOUNT resistors back on to the board will resolve that issue.

I've always run the HUD full up (with the slider control & dash **** full up just short of the click) and haven't noticed the dash lights staying on but I've never looked for that either. It seems the dim light problem for both HUD & HVAC displays has happened together? Make this go away, I haven't had time to address the gas gauge or stuck drivers window yet. I might have to go Medievil on the "plastic fantastic" and I'm sure I would be sorry later.

The battery power for the interior lights comes from the IGNITION SWITCH feed. Find the FUSE for the dash lights and measure the two test points on top of the fuse to chassis or battery ground.
The reading on the two fuse test points should be exactly the same as battery voltage measured directly on the battery terminals. If there different,, your ignition switch is probably at fault and needs to be cleaned/rebuilt or replaced:
As for the DOOR Controls,, pop out the door accordion tube and fish out the two connectors in the A pillar hole. Disconnect them and see if ANY of the female pins are corroded. burnt or DEFORMED!!!!!!
If the pins in that POWER PLUG are not making proper contact, it could effect motor operation.....
Have you also tried manual motor aggatition.. ????
