Did you have it balanced?

If you didn't have the clutch and flywheel balanced together, that's the first thing I'd look at.

Let me know what you find. I have the exact same issue. I had a LS7 clutch put in and I am told they are balanced from the factory and don't need to be balanced. But I really want to get this sorted out too!

It has been a while since I looked into this, but I believe I was told it could have something to do with the input shaft being out of balance or something. I am going to be seeing my mechanic soon and I hope to have him drive it and see what he says. If he wasn't over 2 hours away from me I would have done it sooner. I want this fixed!

That's a bummer, and it's so much work to go back and pull it apart again. I was so scared of these types of problems I just put in a new stock flywheel and stock LS6 clutch. I just didn't want any problems afterwards.

Do you have the original parts? If so, you may need to check if the original was out of balance. There were some delivered this way that required match balancing.

Keep updating us. The balancer is what the shop wanted to do on mine next...but I am doubtful it will help.

I fret that this will be one of those unsolvable problems. I just can't imagine it is the balancer. If it were the balancer, it would have vibrated before the new clutch went in!

Mine seems to be worst 3-4K RPMs with moderate throttle. I don't feel it much at higher RPMs or at wide open probably just because the engine (and car) are accelerating too quickly. It isn't horrible in my car, but enough to make me uncomfortable about it.

I wish you luck!!!

BTW, are you going with a stock pulley or an underdrive unit? I figure if I do this I will go with an underdrive unit just so I get a little bang for my buck.

This is a nightmare that started when the new clutch was installed.
1st mod they did was COMP CAM with new Slp pulley. The car turned into a monster and would not shift at high rpm,but no vibration.Thinking it was a slave cylinder problem and the car had some track time they said change the clutch it all would be good. The clutch was changed and during the break in period the vibration started, the rpms were not over 3000rpm at that time.I did not fell it right away, after about 100 miles I started to feel the vibration.Like I said it is a nightmare. The car went back so I told them while it was there change the gears as 342 gears suck and 410 would be much better, gears were changed trans brace installed said car was ready come get it.Drove 70 miles and vibration was still there, they had car towed back to them, installed another clutch kit and still have vibration,so the car is still there.Front pulley is next,I still feel it is the clutch that is the problem but they dont.

Important questions to be answered first:

1. Was it the stock FW and PP that you had replaced?

2. Was it smooth before replacement?

3. Do you still have both the FW and PP that you replaced laying around somewhere?

Well they don't want it to be in the clutch since it is so much labor to yank it out. So it makes more sense for them to try everything easy first.
