Just replaced all the batteries in my 2000 Vert tpms's. Now I am getting a ( High Tire Pressure in LR ). I have checked it with a gauge repeatedly and it hasn't changed and it isn't high. I apparently have a issue with this TPMS.
Will reprogramming the TPMS's correct this problem or do I have a defective TPMS?
Yes I have driven the car for about a month now. My system doesn't read if the car is setting still. It has to be moving. It doesn't do it right away. Only after driving for 30 min or so.

well, the only time I have seen that happening is if the tire pressure is set high to begin with for example cold PSI 35 and after driving the tire heats up and the TPMS reads 44 or something and you get high pressure
you lose 1 psi for every 10 degrees when it gets cold so I would think it works the same way when it heats up
I have checked them several times and I try to keep 40 psi in the tires. Maybe I can try a relearn and see if that corrects the issue. If not I will holler back.
Your pressure IS too high. Try reducing the pressure to 30 PSI in all 4 tires. 30 PSI is the manufacturer recommended pressure as listed on the sticker inside the driver doorwell.

40 PSI!!!!!!!!
Holy Crap! 28-30 PSI is the BEST overall pressure...
40 psi is WAYYYYYYYYYYYY tooooooooo much!!!!!!
Feel free to run 40.. You will just wear out the very center of the tire very quickly, have poor traction and a VERY ROUGH RIDE!

If your tires say 40 psi on the sidewalls you need to put them back on the pickup.
Just pokin' a bit of fun. As the others have already said, 30 psi is what they should be at.

Holy crap, 30 psi and I'm running 40 ! Maybe I better try letting some air out and see if that does the trick, lol I am trying to finish off the last of these rears so I can mount the 2 new ones lying in the garage floor. I guess I was just trying to hurry it up that much more. I am running the Goodyear run flats for now on the C6 wheels, 18 & 19's. Thanks for all the GREAT air prs advice guys, lol
