Sorry, I didn't notice that this old thread had been dug up but, after a few thousand miles of running the headers, I still occasionally check the fit of the headers along with leak checks and, the pass side collector will stay off the shield with no help from the bellhousing bracket but, the drivers side will still spring over to within a 16th of an inch or less of the shield if I loosen the bracket so, I keep that side cinched down to prevent contact.

If, for any reason, I ever remove the header, I would probably remove that rivet that holds the shield on the drivers side and flatten it out to give me the clearance I would feel comfortable with.

As it sits right now, I'm using the bracket to hold the driver side collector off of the shield about an 1/8 of an inch so, hopefully, the tab on the header will hold up to the little bit of strain put on it. So far, so good.

Thanks for the info. I am amazed and disappointed that LG motorsports doesnt include detailed instructions for these headers, or the header gaskets, or all the hardware required for the bracket.

Header gaskets were included with my kit. They use a different set from stock with the rounder opening. I think I heard they are from a Camaro.

You might check with them on that.

Almost all of our instructions are moving online for easy access. For both current customers and those looking to purchase. Not everything is up yet but we are loading them weekly.

Only the Street Series do not come with gaskets, all Pro systems do.

Not sure which bracket you are speaking of, if you are talking about the Street Series on the C5 cars, that should not be included with the kit, but some of them still have it in there. We found that by having that installed it could lead to the bracket tab on the header to crack and fail.

I guess I must have ordered the gaskets separately then. If I remember correctly, they came in the same box though.

Default Still no instructions LG street headers

I just purchased and received a set of the street headers from LG and they didn’t come with any instructions. I emailed them for instructions or directions and still have not recorded an answer....
