newbie here,i recently got my grubby big hands on my very own c5,2002 targa, but no tps installed,so i bought some from a scrap yard,do i need to go to the dealer to program these or can i do it myself after the tireshop installs them, thanks for your help and keep it between the ditches
To make sure the sensors are working before you fit them, you can sit the sensors next to the wheels and run through the sequence that Fritzm posted. Once you've programmed them make sure they go onto that wheel so mark them up. If you fit them to the wrong wheel you'll need to retrain them.
A dead sensor will show XXX on the DIC.
BTW fill out your profile. That way mambers can give specific advice for your car/area. Welcome aboard.

And you now don't have to pay the higher dealer price for them anymore either. There are several choices available now for much better prices.
Btw, they're TPMs (Tire Pressure Monitors), not TPSs. "TPS" refers to Throttle Position Sensor located on your throttle body. Just to prevent any confusion in terminology when talking about these puppies.
