Thanks Sam
I read the link you sent.
Seems like quite a bit of work, no wonder the trim shop wants $275.00 to fix it.

Default I've written a long version on that thread

it wasn't a lot of work for me. Sent off for the glue, jammed some pillows against the glass to hold the correct position swabbed the open area with windex and a bunch of cotton on sticks and applied the glue.

I thought the job was very rewarding because it was so easy to get a good result.

One question I have is how do you get the glue to be completely water tight where the separation ends and the original glue is still holding. Will it flow into this area on its own?

What did you use to pull apart the section that was still attached?

Did you do this after the first part was glued and dried or basically pull the window out completely?

Default Back vert glass

Well, all done.
I stuffed a bunch of pillows inside, stuck the Old Lady in there also. Made a pencil mark where the loose part started and another where it ended. Cleaned the inside of the top and the front part of the glass where they meet with Q-tips, paper towels and alcohol. Applied the Rhino glue to the loose area all at one time. I pushed from outside she pushed from inside. I noticed it gives you a good 10-15 minutes to work it. After it dried I took the still attached part and pulled it apart with a finger, falls right off, easy. Cleaned and glued it the same way as the first part. You can tell when the glue has set because the top wont move anymore when you run your fingers down the seem. This entire process took 40-45 minutes, no suction cups or anything crazy. Saved $250.00 the trim shop wanted me to spend.
I saved that because all you guys are happy to chime in with you ideas and experiences (Some kinda funny)
On another note, I went today to go see Mike (AKA... skydiven4fun) to buy a seat slider. He also loaned me his extra bra for my upcoming trip and GAVE me a radio that has all the lights working, What a great guy.

Thanks for all the great information on this forum. I was headed home today when I hear woosh and popping. Yes, that would be my vert rear glass flapping in the breeze. I have ordered my Rhino glue and hope to have that fixed as soon as it get's here. Oh well, it's supposed to be above 70 for the weekend so I drop the top and enjoy the crazy Texas weather.

Hey
If your going to drive around with the top down make sure you open the trunk and put a pillow or two under the top to support the window as it will be hanging in the air inside your trunk. You don't want it to get any worse, or come loose all together.
