ram air setups
i have been doing some research on ram air setups. the only one i'm finding is the vararam setup and reading how big of a pos it is and pita to install is disheartening.
just curious what real ram air setups are avail for these cars? i have an ls1 ws6 and an aftermarket ram air on it now. it did wonders over my lid only setup.
for the nonbelievers, the car went from 12.8 afr and 0 knock to 14.7 afr (@ 3800 rpm even) and 8* knock from the ram air setup (and proper sealing of the lid). if i had to muster a guess i'd say it picked up a solid 2 mph.

Vararam is the top of the heap in real performance numbers, and installing it may be beyond the ability of some, but the numbers far outweigh the "pos" claims......
Those with it mostly laugh off the pos claims, after the first 1/4 mile run.
