I have the basic HVAC controller in my 2000 coupe so I don't have the dual controls and the stuff that goes with them.
The A/C started blowing hot air on me a week or so ago just a few days after it had been working just fine. Thinking I might have had a leak or was just low on refrigerant I bought a can of R-134 that comes with a low-side guage for testing pressure. According to this guage I have 35 psi of pressure in the system, which should indicate that it's fully charged.
I went through and double-checked three A/C related fuses that I found and swapped out a good 8567 relay to make sure the one for the A/C worked ok. Additionally, the compressor comes on when the A/C is turned on, and no codes are showing in the DIC.
Despite everything checking out ok I'm still getting hot air out of the system. What am I missing? What else can I check?

I'm not exactly sure why this worked, but after adding some R-134; the cold air started blowing and the pressure guage dropped down to below 25 psi. The only thing I can figure is that something was stopping up the line somewhere and forcing new refrigerant into the system pushed whatever it was out of the way. The root cause was that the system was low on R-134; after adding a full can (large one) it's still not quite at 35 psi and could use a bit more.
If it gets hot again look for leaks at the fittings and hoses. If the orfice tube is clogged it will cause poor cooling. Mine looked like it was bone dry and somewhat clogged. $3 item in the high side line on the right fender. Might want to add some UV dye and run it for a day then check it out with UV light and glasses.
