I can tell you mine would definately not fit behind the stock wheels and they look very similar to your brakes. With my aftermarket 18" rims the brake calipers clears by approximately 2mm.
It does not take long to swap a front caliper so I would leave your brake line connected to your old caliper and just mount the new one to see if it fits.
Good Luck!
Good Idea. I'll do that.
George: Hmm.. hanging them would be nice, but I would prefer to have them on the car. :)
Talk about stopping on a dime. Those things are going to stop you like a raped ape.
That's the general idea. :)
There is some delay with pads, so I probably wont get a chance to do anything with them until next weekend. I have to be content to stare at them on the floor for now. :)
Beautiful(and I'm sure functional) setup Victor!
If you don't mind me asking, what did they set you back?
George
Thanks George! I got in on the group purchase that Darth Vetter setup with Dilusi. It was $1,000 of the retail price of the kit. I am not sure what the final total is going to be because Ben hasn't settled up the costs for the powder coating yet.

Alot!!! My SSBC Force 10 package runs $2k and that does not even include rear calipers(which I am not sure are really necessary). vrus setup is probably in the 4-6k range. I can say that after the brake upgrade it felt like going from a SUV to a Sports Car all over again(yes, literally)! Some people just don't realize the importance of a good braking car. Of course street driving does not matter as much but why just beef up the engine and leave the brakes stock? The brakes on a vette are designed for the stock range of horsepower(maybe a little more), which makes the car so well balanced. When you bump the horsepower up does is not make sense to upgrade brakes and handling to compensate???
Ok, I am jumping way off here so back to the topic. Awesome brakes!
Looks great!! get ready to do lots of grinding to get the relocation pieces to fit. I used a Makita 10,000 rpm 4" grinder and it worked great!! :smash:

Grinding the relocation pieces? Geez.. Now you are starting to worry me. I thought this was supposed to be a bolt-on kit? So I guess I shouldnt try and tackle this myself then?
Well, thanks for the heads-up. I'll probably take it to a shop and have the install done there.. Hmm.. Wonder if Agostino has some time for me...

If you have the tools I would say go for it!! You will have to grind the lower ball joint, and the outside of the frame work that bolts to relocation block for the calipers. It takes a while, is a little work, but can be done if you have the tools. :)
Thanks .... your website rocks ... Computer Consulting must pay well ... I hope it does ... that is what I plan to do when I graduate ... I hope I can have that stable in a decage or two ...
vrus ,
Congrats! Those look familiar ;) :D
If you install ‘em before me, please be sure to let us know your impressions!
BTW: I think you’ll be in a very unique position to compare these (first hand!) with some of the finest exotics brakes! That would be awesome!!! :yesnod:
