Default Head gasket installation

I'm installing LPE ported ls6 heads on my engine. Do the gm MLS gaskets go on dry or do the get sprayed with a sealer. I have looked in alldata, searched this forum and googled it. I'm not finding anything either way. What should I do?

Clean the bolt holes and dry them out, clean the block and head and slap her on!

Consider ARP Head studs. Best non HP mod I have ever done!

They go on dry. Do what Bill said. There was a thread on here some time back (within last year) where you could download the GM service manual for free.

Biggest mistake you can make, unrecoverable if you don't do this, make sure the bolt holes are dry as Bill stated.

Never sieze on the bolts? Are the gaskets marked, top? Front? Why r the arp studs recommended? The engine is na, mild cam. It should make about 420rwhp.
Thanks,
Marty

While they aren't necessary there is no good reason to not put them in when you reinstall. Think of them as added insurance/protection for any future mods.
