Default Anyone ever mixed and matched Headers?

Strange question I know.... I like the design of the LG 1 3/4" LT's, but I like the ARH x-pipe design better. I don't take it the collector flanges are in identical locations...? Anyone ever tried to make something like that work? Thoughts?

Unless the LG headers you are looking at are made in the USA instead of China look for a different brand. The quality control is not there and they've been reported to hang lower, thus drag on more "stuff" you run over, such as speed bumps and low/high spots.

Kooks, American Racing, and Pfadt are all American made, and although not from the USA, OBX headers reportedly have American QC making sure they meet specs.

I'm in the process of deciding on headers myself and this is what I've come up with so far.

Oh I thought the LG were made in USA? Hmm... Leaning more towards the whole 1.75 package from ARH.

I think he is saying they are, but there are knock off brands out there that are not authentic brands...

Long story short everyones headers are built different so the flanges are most likly different and they will not line up. Yes, they can be modified to connect to one another.. Performance wise i dont think you will see a difference in power between the X-pipes, but if its just how you want it to be i can understand that. I do things to have them the way i want them even if it doesnt make sence to anyone but me. any good muffler shop can do something like that... NOW you may want to bring in some stainless mandrel bends along with the other parts so they can match the pieces together without having sub quality piping and may want to also get a set of matching V-bands to connect them together so you know 100% they will bolt together (most flanges from one company to another very in shape or size.)

If you want a quality set of headers, ARH is what you want. They have a VERY good reputation and the quality is superior.

I was told that at one time LG made their own headers and that is when they earned a reputation as a great header. Since then they have sold it to Borla and are now made in China. Just what I heard.

It would be a pain to get them all lined up. I'd stick with the LG's. We sell a ton with no issues. They're still the standard for the c5.

Just to be very clear, and I hope you don't mind me doing so, all Borla headers, exhaust systems, mufflers etc. are made by hand, in The United States, by Citizens Of The United States, at our facility in Tennessee.
