Bad first gear synchro

downshifting to first shouldn't be any harder on the 1st gear synchro than any of the other synchros when downshifting to other gears. As long as you rev match it properly before you shift, the synchros are barely doing any work at all.

I whole heartedly agree.. How many people realize that you need to rev match and when they do, they normally don't Rev the engine high enough to match it properly!!!
