Continuing w/B. Curlee Advice - Windows Not Working
To continue some advice Bill was providing for me a few weeks ago regarding the problem I'm having with windows that won't roll up or down and No Comm. messages popping up on the DIC.
The fuses for the DCM are HOT at ALL Times. If you didnt read battery voltage on those fuses, you really do have something seriously wrong.
Use the meter and read directly on the battery terminals to make sure that the meter is working properly.
Then read the test points on top of the fuse to chassis ground.
BC
After testing my DMM (using the DC 20 setting) to check the battery I got a reading of 12.42. Going back to the fuses (30, 31, 33, 34) and checking them again I am still getting a solid 0.00 reading from them.
At this point I'm stuck until I can get some further direction on what to check. I was wondering, is it possible the seat connector(s) or ignition switch could be causing this problem?
Edit- After checking again using a different ground I am getting 12.26 from each of the four fuses.

You will need to pop out the accordion tubes for BOTH doors...Fish out the connectors from the hole on the BODY A pillar (where the accordion tube fits in)and Disconnect the connectors/
Examine the female connector with SIX pins. If any of the pins are deformed or bent, use a pick and bend the tongue back up to make positive connection with the male pin.
Plug it back in and give it a test.

I will dig into this later today depending on rain, and thank you. If rain gets in the way today I'll definitely get to it tomorrow. I'm really hating not being able to take the top off; this is the best time of year for it.

I pulled out the connectors on both sides, took them apart, bent the pins to make sure they are all tight and put everything back together. Still nothing, although I noticed that I can no longer lock the doors with the door switch.

I would be typing all night.. BUT,,, CALL ME and we can talk and get it done.
You will need to beg borrow or obtain a meter that you can operate to measure OHMS and DC Volts.
Take the door panel off and give me a CALL.

Will do Bill. My DMM has both Ohms and DC volts settings so I should be set there. I'll give you a call early afternoon today after I get everything apart, and thanks.
