it doesn't come with the usb key,in order to use tis software I think you need access through a dealership portal.i don't remember how to reprogram any modules anymore,ive been working for Nissan for several years and the gm protocol has changed.they offer the tis disc for 29.95 but Im sure you still need a password to get it to work through gm.
3 Vettes : I bought a Tech2 clone on Ebay, and need some help to reprogram my replaced BCM to sync the serial number of the SDM (airbag module). I get the SDM DTC B1001, that the SDM serial number does not match what is stored in the BCM. I am in NJ. Perhaps you can help me out, and you could check-out my clone Tech2. If you can help me, I might consider selling you this Tech2 for a discount, as I only bought it to solve my airbag DTC problem.
im not sure you can register a new module without access to gm through a dealer,i can ask my friend who currently works for Chevrolet.what year is your corvette and what exactly are you trying to do.as for buying your tech2,i have one already don't need another,but thank you.i have been out of gm dealers for a while now,currently work for Nissan
Here's an update. I received a notice from the vendor that my item has finally shipped.....today!!! So, I guess what they told me was a lie (previous post). I placed my order on October 6th. It took them almost a week to ship it. Oh well, at least I now have a DHL tracking number. Again, forget the 3-5 day ship time.

Why $364.69? They have it advertised as $350.00 with free DHL shipping in the link previously posted here.
How did you select the software (GM - English) for the 32MB card? They say buyer has to select which software is needed, but I can't find how to make the selection.
Another update: Per DHL tracking, my item is still in China. It was picked up on Sunday but still has not left the country. So, anyone hoping for a quick delivery can forget about it. Do not believe the 3-5 day shipping times.
Oh well, hopefully it will all be worth it in the end.

Hi, I ordered one, 24hrs to confirm order, 7-day processing, 3-4 day delivery, on or about Oct 31. I have purchased a few items from China, tracking is spotty at best. I have received items before it ever listed as leaving China. Last time stright from there to Chicago, then to my house. It took longer from Chicago to KY (250 miles), than China to Chicago.

I tried placing one in the shopping cart before, and I kept going as far as I could before actually paying, but I couldn't see how to select the software so I cancelled the transaction. At which point were you able to make the selection?

Do an online chat with them at night when they are open and they will give you all the info. I was told after you order from them online that they will contact you to find out what software you want. She also said they don't pay any customs fees. Not sure how that plays out.

Hi, My Tech2 shipped today DHL enroute to Louisville, KY, I should have it in hand within a week, we will see....
Update: I received my Tech 2 today. It was a longer than expected shipping time but am quite happy with it so far. I have not yet used it and my first task will be to perform a CKP relearn. I'll let you know how it goes.
