knockoff tech2
Does it come with all the software you need with no subscriptions?
I am also wondering if it will play nice with my ECS tune. I have a slightly modified LS6 engine in my A4 coupe and the factory tune wont work.
Can you adjust the torque managements with it or is that another job for a hand held tuner.
It would be nice if there was a knock off tuner for cheep.
I'm probably just going to get it. I have some gremlins to chase and then I can help a few other people with it.
Thanks.
Now all I need is a hand held tuner for my torque management. I had ECS leave it in because I didn't know the condition of the transmission when I bought it.

As for the 2010 to 2013 cars, need to have a working account with GM since it will need to pull these firmware files from GM over the web, since these needed files will not be part of the 3 discs that come with it.
Hence in 2010, GM switch over to web base programming from computer based Tis2000 , and was the end of the TIS 2000 having the needed files internal for the cars from that point forward.
So if you have a 2010 or later vet, then just get a $40 subscription to TDS SPS for 2 years, and the tech II will be used in pass through mode for over the web programming isntead.

Myself, have a TIS2000 built into a VM shell on full working XP software on a win 10 machine so it can connect to the internet, have a GM account, so will pull any firmware that is needed/it does not have for later 2010 cars, from GM over the web.
