Windows compatibility mode works sometimes. Try setting it for windows 7 compatibility and see if it works then, or try another mode like XP.

I keep an old Windows XP laptop in the garage which has my service manuals for all my cars including the C5. I'm not sure what I can do with the TIS2000 software but I will check it out tonight.

I want it to reprogram a BCM and remove all the options.

Im trying to put the BCM and harness out of an 08 C6 into my project car.

I plan to run the Gauge cluster, BCM, Body Harness, Security Module for keyless entry and push button start.

Not sure if the TIS2000 will work for me .. I read it only goes up to 2007 ?

CORRECTION

I did receive the TIS2000 software disc. It was in the bag along with the product stickers. So yeah, I got the full package.
Did you get both discs, CD and DVD?

Hi, It will not work on Windows 7, or 8 or 8.1...you have to use something like Windows XP. I found one of my old tablets with XP, it installed and runs fine. IMHO

My TIS2000 software is installed on my Win XP computer. I just don't know what to do with it. I know that I can download the recorded data from the Tech2 to the computer. I guess with time, I'll discover more features.

A quick search brought up this. Doing a little reading it is used a lot with the tech 2.

Yes! I'm completely satisfied with mine. It really works like a genuine Tech2. No problems so far.

I am playing with the clone tech 2. Is 99 C5 a F or Y product line? I also want to know what is the purpose of the dongle and the TIS software. One last question is could I use a usb to rs232 converter to connect the Tech 2 to my usb only laptop for software upgrade

Corvette is Y. F would be camaro. Dongle is used for the SPS system to program the ECU (security access). TIS software is for interfacing with the tech 2 for updates and security access to do certain functions that need it (programming). And yes you can use a usb to serial adapter for it to interface with your PC.

Enjoy.
