Quite odd A/C noises
New member here.. Since owning my C5 Z06 for the past two months It has been nothing but a pain in the a$$.
Delt with the steering column faulure which left me stranded, $600 later and a tow bill it was fixed..
Then the ABS module failure, which I am currently living with at the moment...
Now this... My A/C has some interesting noises / symptoms coming from the dash, never hear anything like this. I am not ready to tear the dash apart either as the A/C is working properly at this point.
When at idle, you can hear what sounds like the engine running coming through the vents, then when driving, specifically taking left turns only, you hear a shuffling noise. The harder you turn the louder it gets. When you drive straight, it goes away.
Anyone ever experience anything like this?

so, the dealer put a band aid on your problem... You still need to get an LMC5 module and install it regardless of what the dealership did to actually FIX that problem....

That said, removing the dash is actually quite simple. 1st time, it'll take you a while to know what's going on and what to pull on. But for instance, I've done it a few times and I had mine out last monday morning at work while playing with the HUD I just put in. Took me less than 15 minutes to have the dash out and mines a vert, so I've got the waterfall to remove also. It's fairly easy to do, grab a 1/4" drive 10mm socket, 7mm socket, extension, ratchet, T15 Torx and gee, I think that's all you need. Maybe a small flathead screwdriver for popping plastic covers off. The pillar covers need no tools to remove, they pull at the top first, then pull off. All else is fairly straightforward.
Buy a set of service manuals online. They'll pay for themselves many times over at the rate you're going with the stealership.

Make your noise when the water hits the fan blades
OR
Leak out, drip on the BCM and cause ALL SORTS OF CRAZY ELECTRICAL ISSUES!!

So,, If you run the AC and dont see any condensate dripping out under the passengers side front fire wall area,, the drain tube is most likely clogged/stuck shut.
You really need to get UNDER the car to get a good look and access to it.
Here is what it looks like:

You can see it here in back of the wire harness BUT,,, unless you have baby hands, its really tough to get to:

This is the area on the bottom of the HVAC Air box where the water drains and that pipe goes through the fire wall and the rubber 90 deg elbo fits on that tube;

Make sure the passengers side large drain tube is clear to drain the cowl area. Pop it loose and fire a garden hose down through it. DO NOT pull it out!

The drivers side has three small udders. If they clog, it will destroy the wiper motor electronics!!!

So in addition to the odd noises I described.. I found the passenger side floor board to be soaking wet today. I pulled back the floor panel and the silver cylinder had condensation all over it and it was dripping down onto the fuse box and BCM.
With this being said, I am a bit confused by the photo's. I assume this means I have to un-clogg the utters. How excactly do I do this and does the car need to be on jack stands? Or do I do it from the engine bay? The silver canister above the BCM, will it drain or continue to leak?

You have to pop the rubber 90 degree drain fitting off the plastic tube that is stuck throught the fire wall. You have to have the car in the air. Jack stands, floor lift, post lift, 50 strong friends,,, what ever it takes.
The end of the rubber fitting sticks together and cloggs with snot like stuff.. Pull the fitting off and water will RUSH out.
I would disconnect the battery, pop out the BCM and properly dry it out an a warm dry place. I would also pulll out that side carpet and dry it.
