common problem with the C 5, trans or differencial brace's help, run-flat tires cause the hop (Z car should not have run flats) weak mounts !!!!!! a lot of info here on this do a search ?????

And stop doing it until you make corrections or you will be buying a differential and maybe a tranny too.
Likely worn out parts in the suspension and/or tires.

I agree with the above... good tires, shocks, motor/diff mounts should take care of it

I have an 03z as well. My take on wheel hop, after trying to fix it with tires and mounts is that its not such a simple thing. Before I replaced my diff it was pretty static that all traction loss from over acceleration like rolling into 1st or 2nd gear resulted in some degree of hop. That was with different tires and different mounts. Made no real difference.
It was always more apparent in the cold. Like 30-50F over acceleration would be really hoppy.
Since I replaced my diff it only happens when its cold. Mind you I replaced the motor a month later so the tires don't turn over as much as they just turn into stinky clouds. Which likely has something to do with it as well.
My take after 3 years of monitoring, there isn't one easy fix that will fix it.

My car is not huge power like some of the ones I see on the Forum but RWHP is just under 500 and I have no wheel hop at all. Tires will spin easily even from a rolling 1st gear and eventually TC steps in if I haven't turned it off but NO HOP at all.
That was not the case until I replaced the rear springs, sways with C6 Z06 springs and C6Z06 bars and all rear rubber suspension components with poly. Where I live 30 degrees is about the coldest I see but still no hop at 30 degrees. I have run a few different tire brands and currently they are Nitto 345/30-19 on the rear.

What made the big difference for my car was better shocks and different rims and tires. CCW 505a and Toyo T1R tires I installed some GM C6 ZO6 shocks and have NOT had any issues since. The car handles a lot better also.
